What is Coaching?

What Is Coaching? (And How It Can Help You Move Forward)

If you’ve ever thought:

“I know something needs to change… but I don’t know how.”
“I feel stuck, even though I understand my patterns.”
“I want more for my life, but I can’t seem to move forward.”

This is where coaching can help.

What Is Coaching?

Coaching is a structured, forward-focused process that helps you move from where you are now to where you want to be.

Unlike advice-giving or telling you what to do, coaching is a personal process that helps you:

  • Gain clarity on what you actually want

  • Understand what’s holding you back

  • Make decisions with confidence

  • Take action in a way that feels aligned

At its core, coaching is based on a simple but powerful idea:

You already have many of the answers inside of you — coaching helps you access them.

As a coach, I do not control your life, but I support you in thinking more clearly, making decisions, and taking deliberate action creating meaningful change.

But in reality, it often goes a little deeper than that.

Because many people don’t just feel stuck in what they’re doing…
They feel stuck in who they’ve become.

What Happens in a Coaching Session?

Coaching is not about being told what to do.

Instead, sessions are a collaborative process structured around you.

A typical session might involve:

  • Exploring what you want (often more deeply than you’ve done before)

  • Identifying your patterns or current behaviours keeping you stuck

  • Challenging unhelpful thinking

  • Setting clear, realistic next steps that you can achieve

  • Creating accountability so change actually happens

But we also look at something more subtle:

The version of you that has been making your current decisions.

Because often, it’s not a lack of motivation that keeps you stuck — it’s the identity you’ve had to adapt into over time.

What Can Coaching Help With?

Coaching can support a wide range of areas. The areas I specialise in are:

  • Feeling stuck or directionless

  • Confidence and self-belief

  • Relationship and attachment patterns

  • Stress and overwhelm

  • Building healthier habits

  • Moving forward after a difficult period

Many people come to coaching not because everything has fallen apart — but because something feels off.

They’ve built a life… but it doesn’t quite feel like theirs anymore.

Working With Me as Your Coach

My approach to coaching is trauma-informed and grounded in understanding how the mind and body work together.

This means we don’t just focus on what you should do,

we also explore what is making this feel difficult in the first place and why does part of you move forward… and another part hold back.

Because real change isn’t just about setting goals.
It’s about becoming the version of you who can actually live them. It's identity level.

I integrate:

  • Coaching for clarity, direction and action

  • Somatic awareness (how your body responds to stress and pressure) and how to work with it

  • Subconscious work (patterns that keep repeating)

  • Nervous system regulation

So you’re not just setting goals — you’re actually able to follow through on them.

And over time, something shifts.

Not just in what you do…
But in how you see yourself.

Is Coaching Right for You?

Coaching might be a good fit if:

  • You feel stuck but you are now ready for change

  • You are committed to taking action — even if it is small

  • You’ve done a lot of thinking but not much has shifted

  • You want support that is practical, focused and forward-moving

  • You’re ready to take responsibility for your next steps

It’s not about fixing you. You are not broken.

It’s about helping you move forward — with clarity, confidence and support.
